As the key component, the Euro-balise can store the data necessary for the train speed supervision and other functions in the fixed block-based ATP (including PSD linkage) system., The variable data balise, which is placed beside the signal, is used for transmitting movement authority to the train.Besides the basic ATP function, the fixed block-based ATP (including PSD linkage) system can also realize such functions as coordination between the train door and the safety door, departure protection in the case of red light.
